Release the Beast!

Wolfnights is a gourmet wrap shop that cooks fresh dough wraps on a hot dome for every order. The wraps are made with unique ingredients like fig, turmeric, and ginger.  Owner and founder, Itai wanted to combine his two favorite cuisines, Israeli and Thai, to create the perfect wrap. It’s sweet, spicy, crunchy, savory — all together in one bite. There are ten different wrap types.  If you’re feeling a bowl, you can get them over pearled couscous or quinoa.

All the dough is made fresh on the “IronWolf”, an inverse wok of sorts fired up to 500° F, cooking the dough in less than a minute! This technique was inspired by the Druze people of his native country that bake the dough in a very similar fashion over the fire. Go veggie-friendly and try the Teen Wolf, filled with freshly made falafel in fig dough that includes pickles and sunflower seeds.

Don’t miss the Pink Moon, a grilled shrimp wrapped in a beet & chia seed dough with bean sprout slaw, charcoal grilled asparagus, pickled jalapeño, fried pickles, and a tangy-sweet coconut vanilla sauce. Or go for the protein-packed Wolfnight’s favorite, The Beast – a steak wrap made with turmeric dough, charcoal-grilled steak, blue cheese, cilantro, BBQ crunch, and red chili mayo. Your taste buds will be simultaneously delighted and excited!

Welcome, Kusharista! An ancient Egyptian grain meets pasta that goes global….

Rich in cultural flavors and delectable accents, Kusharista is the newest addition to New York’s thriving gourmet international food scene.


Having spent years researching and exploring the world’s gastronomic traditions, Mohamed Moamen, a food connoisseur and enthusiast, set out on a mission to bring the best of the world’s flavors together. The Mediterranean’s healthy cuisine, the vibrancy of Mexican dishes, the rich texture of Italian food and the exotic flavor of Thai and Indian spices under one roof for an unparalleled culinary experience.

Kushari, the namesake dish, has a rich history dating back to the 1300s. It didn’t become an Egyptian staple until the 19th century when the British introduced the food to the cosmopolitan city, Cairo.

Italian immigrants soon added pasta and tomato sauce to the dish and…voila! Kusharista was born. The dish consists of elbow pasta, lentils, chickpeas, tomato sauce, and golden fried onions.


Kusharista takes it a step further with variations like the Asian Fusion Kushari with brown rice, coconut curry sauce, teriyaki glaze, and jumbo steamed shrimp. Want something more traditional?

New Restaurant: Natureworks 

Natureworks is real food- as nature intended. Today, buzz words like “real food,” “eating raw,” and “all-natural,” and “fresh ingredients” seem overly used and almost insincere in some cases. In 1978, when family-run Natureworks was founded, it was unchartered territory. 

If you’re in the mood for a throwback, you might remember Eva’s Kitchen, or Eva’s Health Food which is actually the mother concept to Natureworks. Locations emerged, focuses differed (Eva’s exclusively works on catering now and is focused on other boroughs besides Manhattan)

Natureworks became a mainstay for the office lunch crowd outside of its original Murray Hill location, and now West 55th St. location, sporting a vast menu of healthy “things” that fall into every lunch mood category. 

Among sandwiches, choose from hot & toasted sandwiches, classic pita burgers, whole wheat burritos. 

Among salads, superfood it with South American Taco Salad w/ Chicken Breast or the vegetarian Baked Tofu w/ Hummus Salad. 

There are sides, aka lots of steamed vegetables. 

But ultimately, what comprises half the menu…your choice of protein plates. 

Legitimately, some high energy protein plates have fitting names. One is called the “Hulk”;  described as not one or two or three but six egg whites, a steak burger, onion, pepper sauce, and either bean chili or lentils atop.  A working lunch indeed… maybe if you’re body-building.

Picnic Basket serves only handmade bread with vegetables, meats, and cheeses delivered daily.  Sandwiches are packed with tasty and fresh ingredients, made-to-order.  With a menu focused on simplicity and flavor, you can’t go wrong with any dish.  The menu merges flavors from Mediterranean, Italian and Asian traditions — it’s a basket full of diversity.

Reign in your Italian with their famous Fresh Mozzarella Sandwich: stuffed with fire roasted red peppers, alfalfa sprouts, fresh greens, tomatoes and a healthy drizzle of balsamic vinaigrette.  Take a trip to South America with their juicy Chimi Chicken Sandwich, packed with grilled chicken breast, fresh greens, tomatoes, and a zesty chimichurri sauce

Our favorite East VIllage Southern cookin’ haunt is back.  Welcome back Root & Bone.  Yardbird’s little sister hops back onto the menu with classics like their fried chicken drumsticks, mac & cheese, buttermilk biscuits.  Gone are the jarred desserts in favor ofdecadent key lime and bourbon pecan pie.   Their famed pink deviled eggs will make an appearance, alongside green options like an artisanal kale caesar salad and cauliflower steak plate.

New Sample in Residence: Shrewd Food, Free high protein snack delights

Innovative baked protein crisps that emulate your childhood cheese puffs, with a much healthier spin. Each serving has 14g of protein, 2g of carbs and 90 calories. Check the menu for specific dates.

Flavors Of The World, Spice Up Your Lunch: Spicy Moon (NEW)

🎶”Flavors of the world, Spice up your lunch, Every bowl and every dish, Spice up your lunch, People of New York, Spice up your lunch, Aah”🎶

Meatless Mondays (and any day really) have a new face, and it’s name is Spicy Moon. Over in the East Village, and now at your office, Szechuan food has been given a much needed makeover by the Szechuan peppercorn–powered Spicy Moon.

As for the menu itself, it covers a lot of regional standards, but with a vegan twist. Think twice-cooked yuba, fan-favorite dan dan noodles with Beyond Meat, flavor-packed cumin-style tofu, and a spicy vegetable or tofu dry pot.

There is of course, the famous regional dish, mapo tofu which is not to be missed, or burn your way into the veggie wontons in chili oil. They are a stand out for being an undeniably terrific representation of the classic dish.

Other dishes include vegan versions of Chinese-American classics, like the General Tso’s mushroom. The ‘shrooms come nugget-shaped with a special dipping sauce after being breaded and fried. Don’t stop there because the cold sesame noodles are calling your name and the flaky scallion pancake will have you happy and no longer hungry!

While standards make up most of the menu, there are also less conventional items like the fried pickles with “Szechuan sauce”. You’ll be sure to put some respect on their name after trying your first bite!

At Spicy Moon, it’s the little things that make it a more interesting place than your standard Szechuan restaurant and showcase the owners’ passion for the food and dedication to creativity in the city’s ever-expanding field of vegan restaurants.
